Question

break in skin, burning underneath, long time.

It started with a break in the skin on the bridge
of my nose. It did not heal and developed a burning
sensation beneath the spot. After months the skin healed
but the burning went deeper in. I got real sick for a long
time but got somewhat better except for the burning. Now it
has been years.

It is important to know your age, etc. I am worried that it may be a small skin cancer. You will have to consult a dermatologist and maybe have it excised or biopsied.

I am 55, had skin cancer before. Early on, an MD wouldn't
biopsy it. He said it would leave a scar. More recently an
ENT said it "couldn't be, the sore would not have healed."

Being just the patient, I keep an open mind. Where the pain
has been, the skin is slightly sunken and kind of "thin".

I "look" like the picture of health. I am so sick, I am mostly
bedridden. Life looks fun, let me back at it.

And, THANKS!
