Dear Hazel

I am uncertain what you mean by BBV? Do you not mean BPPV? (A type of peripheral dizzyness?). If you do indeed mean BPPV, it is a condition best managed with exercises. They where developed to enable repositioning of the otochonia of the inner ear, and thus treat the dizzyness. You whould need to see an ENT surgeon to firstly confirm the diagnosis, and secondly show you how to perform the Epley manoeuver. Each patient needs to be evaluated regarding suitability to do the exercises, as back problems may be one of the contra-indications, or require special precuations in performing the procedure. Once you know how it is performed, you will be able to do it yourself, but always with assistance, as the exercise may initially cause dizzyness. Alternatively you may consult a physiotherapist to assist you with the exercises.
