Our expert says:
Hi Little Joe
Men traditionally are the aggressive sex and temper outburts, unfortunately, have become commonplace for both men and women in the working environment. Just look at the traffic situation, with road rage so clearly evident.
"Office rage" is not appropriate and anger should be managed more construtively. If a person has a problem at home, they should not bring their anger to work and visa versa. Unfortunately we live blurred lives and there is often spill over.
When someone acts with aggression, be assertive. Asssertivenes by definition is : "Standing up for yourself without anger, bitterness or rensentment".
Don't allow people tohave hissy-fits at the office - it is not acceptable.
