Our expert says:
If your BMI is under 17, then you are in the danger zone. The normal range is 18-25, so you are far below your normal BMI. Why are you trying to lose more weight? Did you calculate your BMI properly? weight in kg divided by (height in metres x height in metres), for example 55 kg divided by 1.66 m x 1.66m = 55/2.76 = 19.9, so this person's BMI would equal 19.9, which is still in the normal range, but rather low.
Ask the dietitian to calculate your BMI and if it is still 17, then ask her/him to give you a diet to GAIN weight.
