Our expert says:
I am sorry to hear that you always feel bloated. Usually distention of the stomach by gas is due to constipation-related Irritable Bowel Disease (IBS), which is treated with an increased intake of dietary fibre. Because you are NOT reacting favourably to the increase in dietary fibre, you may either suffer from non-constipation IBS or be sensitive to a high fibre intake. Another possibility is that your bloating may be caused by a variety of other digestive problems such as ulcers, gallbladder disease, enzyme deficiencies, food allergies or intolerances, etc, to name but a few. In view of the complexity of the problem, I would recommend that you have a medical examination so that you can obtain a diagnosis. Once we know what is causing your bloating, we can see what changes we need to make to your diet.
