Blood type

Hi Doc

Should my son either have the same blood type as myself or his mother?

Darren, it is possible for a baby to have a different blood group than his parents. If the mother is A and the father is B, the baby may be AB for instance. If you’re interested in more detail, you can e-mail me at CyberDoc@mweb.co.za and I’ll send you something I wrote on the subject. Good luck.

He should be the same as either you or his mother.

So if you are A and his mother is B
then he could be A or B or AB

Hope that helps.
