Dear Brad,

The 135/83 is okay, although the ideal would be closer to 120/80.

Your “relaxed” reading is great. Remember that people differ : if you have no other medical problems ( eg peripheral vascular disease) and experience no symptoms when relaxed and at the pressure, then it is clearly not too low for your system. You may find that if you are lying down and then stand up suddenly, that you experience a very transient light-headedness. This is postural hypotension, and can occur with low BP. However, it usually rights itself within seconds, as your heart adjusts its rate and stroke volume to keep perfusing your bodyoptimally.

Your BP is fine, rest assured.
