black spots on left big toe nail since november 02

I have read somewhere that illnesses/diseases can be identified to a degree by state of toe or finger nails any suggestions where I can look further before visiting my GP

Concerned, some diseases like psoriasis and iron deficiency can be diagnosed by looking at the nails, but most of the time it’s easier to look at the whole body. The best would be to see your doctor and have a diagnosis made. Good luck.
