BITTER TASTE

I am experiencing a bitter taste in my mouth on awakening. I am concerned an would be grateful if you could advise.

Dear Dinx
A bitter taste can often be due to a post nasal drip or acid pushing back in the esophagus when you are lying down. Please let your GP have a look at your throat to exclude a post nasal drip and try taking Gaviscon before going to bed to prevent acid reflux. Also eat light meals at night and try to eat early.
