The most important observation is that while you describe elaborate patterns of misbehviour, attention-seeking, and manipulation at home - he apparently shows NONE of this at school. He recognizes that for whatever reasons, he can get away with this behaviour at home, and that somehow he needs to do this to get what he wants ; and that he doesn't need it and won't get away with it, at school.
The situation you describe sounds complex enough that a consultations or 3 with a child psychologist would be wise, to unravel the paterns of inconvenient and annoying behaviour, and plan a routine to give him what he needs ( not always the same as what he wants ! ) in response to him behaving well, rather than as reward for behaving badly.
