Attention HUGO - re Chromogranin A test

Dear Hugo,
I just read an interesting article re chromogranin A testing - it is quite sensitive for neuroendocrinological tumours but have a 40% false positive for Multiple sclerosis too. Best way to look for the endocrinological tumours, which can be asymptomatic for up to 9 years is with a CT scan and Barium swallow and follow-though. see aafp dot org dash afp dash 20060801 dash 329 dot html
