Ataxia and dizziness

My husband is 71. He has lost 33 kg over the period of 2 yrs for no apparent reason. He has chronic, severe osteoarthritis and has had 2 total knee replacements. Recently, he has begun to feel dizzy while standing or walking and always falls over to his right side, as though his leg is collapsing but it isn' t. His blood pressure is normal, taken minutes after these episodes. Numerous tests have ruled out cancer so far and the hospital we attend have said there is nothing more they can do to find the cause of his severe weight loss. The tests they did included various blood work, a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy. I am really worried as he was never ill until recently.
