Are eggs dairy products

Hi,

Please can someone tell me if eggs are classified as dairy products? I need to stay clear of all dairy products but now some say eggs are dairy and others not. Which is it yes or no.

Dear Dairy
No, eggs are NOT dairy products. Dairy products are: milk (derived from animals such as cows, goats), yoghurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese, all other cheeses, including processed cheese and cheese spreads. If you are truly allergic to dairy products then you would also need to read all food labels and avoid foods that contain milk solids, whey, etc.
