ARE AVOCADOS FATTENING?

Please advise whether avocados are fattening or will cause weight gain as I love eating them.

Avocados are a wonderful fruit rich in nutrients and monounsaturated fatty acids which are good for the heart. They are, however, high in energy (161 kcal per 100g), so use them in moderation.

It doesn't work like that.

Presumably, avocados are only a part of your diet. If not, you have deeper problems... Thus, how many you can eat while keeping your diet balanced depends on what else you're eating. If you already have quite a bit of fat and oil in your diet, even a small amount of avocado could be enough to push you over the threshold of how much of that you can burn; if your diet is practically fat-free, you've got more leeway.

It also depends on how often you're eating them. 5 a day is waaay too many if you're doing it regularly. If you do it once a month, not such a problem. If you want exact details, you'll need to pay a dietician to work out a full avocado-inclusive eating plan for you. Otherwise, you'll just need to read up on balanced diets, recommended fat intake, etc, and play it by ear.

SO what's the answer are they fattening or not?

What s the limit? 2 a day , 5 a day?

in order not to gain weight, in your professional opinion
how many are you allowed to eat to prevent weight gain
