There are no chemical / biological tests which are useful in measuring the extent and nature of anxiety ; there are psychologists tests which to some extent can measure it's severity --- but you already know that you are anxious, and how severe it is. I'd like to see the results you could achieve specifically with a psychologist practising CBT, Cognitive-behaviour Disorder, because it sounds as if much of your problem lies in the area of discomfort caused by your cognit8ions, which you can learn to revise, potentially with lasting benefits. Unless there is an obvious external cause for anxiety ( and usually there is not ) there's actually little value in digging around looking for one, as one can learn toget rid of the symptoms, without finding any specific cause.
None of the modern antidepressants, including the SRI family which includes Luvox, are adictive / verslawend, even to people who readily get addicted to other sunstances. When someone says you may need to take such a drug long-term, they usually mean that to maintain their benefits, you may need to continue taking them, not that you would become addicted to them.
