It may have ben a good idea to work together on trying to heal the marriage - but surely hard to achieve with him spending so much time overseas ?
YOu're describing some features typical of anxiety. It seems to arise in you when you're in situations when you feel out of control / under the control of others. And it seems to be spreading in a rather typical manner - you start by feeling anxious in some situations, then you grow anxious about being anxious, and anxious that you MIGHT become anxious.
But it sounds as though you have only been treated by a GP ? A full assessment by a psychiatrist or psychologist would be useful to clarify the diagnosis and to discuss treatment options. CBT ( Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy ) would be useful to help you regain self-confidence and self-esteem, and to learn to gain control in situations in which you start to feel anxious, and thus to be able to abort a full-blown anxiety attack. Some specific medications could be added to help this process, too.
