Hi Brent!

Condoms certainly do not provide 100%protection against HIV, simply due to the fact that they do sometimes break, which in those cases make them useless, even more so for women. They do however make for safer sex. Its like skydiving: There's always a small chance that your parachute won't open (which is why skydivers have a back-up). But no back-ups for broken condoms.
