abuse of single mums

Does anyone have an answer - why do men charm or date single mums knowing all along they will never be serious with them or settle down with them because there is another man' s child or children involved? Why not just leave single mums alone than abuse the ' ease'  of the situation? Such as the fact that she has obligations and can' t check up on you all the time, she won' t be in your face 24/7, she' s likely to be an independent woman given her circumstances, she tends to have developed a more caring heart thru motherhood and sometimes caring hearts can easier be manipulated, etc etc.

Why don' t selfish men just leave single mums alone instead of stringing them along till the perfect childless woman comes along?

I' ve seen it too many times and i just wonder what the psychology behind it is? Has anyone been there or can give some perspective. A man has a right not to want to date a woman with a child but when you know deep down you' re looking out for ladies without kids, why go near a single mum at all?

YOu may have had some unfortunate experiences of this sort, but MEn don't do that. SOME men surely do, and they're ratbags, but its not a characteristic of the entire species. Maybe the guys you've met had no wish to be as serious as you wished to be, and thought a single mother might be more eager and more grateful. Sad, admittedly. But don't give up --- you can still meet the sort of man you actually want to be with, who actually wants to be with you.
