Pain In Rib

Hi Doctor. What could cause an intermittent pain under the right rib? Come’s and goes, last’s a matter of 3 or 4 second’s.

Hi

It can be caused by inflammation of the muscles in between the ribs, or even one of the nerves that run along the ribs that are inflamed. Have you done any new exercise that could have caused this? The problem could also lie in the pleura, which is the tissue surrounding the lungs, or even the lungs themselves. If the pain becomes worse or more frequent, rather go to the doctor for an examination and a possible chest x-ray. Good luck and stay safe.
