Does drinking milk help to neutralise the effects of spray painting

We have a guy that does our spray painting in our workshop and he insists we give him a litre of milk every week as this will neutralise any side effects. He is provided with a respirator mask. Does the milk do what he says or is he just taking advantage of a myth?

A huge myth, long buried. Mask, appropriate medical surveillance - make sure THIS happens - is what is needed, but no milk, not even chocolate milk!
