Am I allergic to preservatives?

I eat boxed fresh chopped fruit and get a reaction by getting a really watery mouth. I have to constantly spit.

Oral allergy syndrome to fresh fruit is quite common in pollen allergic people, with Hayfever. The raw fruit usually causes oral itching and irritation. If the fruit is chopped up before you buy it in a sealed container, it may well have Sulphur Dioxide (Sulphite) on it as a preservative. This content should be labelled on the container.
