Contacts don’t have to be an eyesore

Shutterstock
Whether they’re for fashion or so you don’t have to wear those hideous horn-rimmed specs your granny got you, contact lenses are rather revolutionary. But they can also create eye horrors if they are not correctly cared for.

Take action:
One of the most common errors people make is showering with contacts on. Water exposure increases the risk of corneal infections and can ultimately lead to loss of vision. To protect your eyes, you should never swim, shower or sleep with your lenses in, and always replace lenses according to instructions, and use fresh contact solution each time.
