The son of a police VIP protection officer has pleaded guilty to culpable homicide after he took a joyride in his father's SUV in Brits and crashed into 65-year-old Patrick Jewell in September 2021.
This according to AfriForum's private prosecution unit, which represents Jewell's daughter, Jacky.
The teenager, who cannot be named because he was 16 at the time, appeared in the Brits Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
