Take action:
Confront the issue and don't just assume that your children won’t do drugs; talk to your children about the dangers of drug abuse; if you suspect something, act immediately; check the example you set for your children; be on the lookout, especially if there is a predisposition to alcoholism or other drug use in some other family members; try to develop a relationship of openness and trust with your children; take an interest in what your children are doing in their spare time; and get counselling if there is a problem.
