High jump

Pole vaulting
In this event, athletes compete to clear the highest possible crossbar using a vaulting pole. The pole vaulter sprints with the pole, ‘plants’ it into the ground, and catapults over a crossbar set at a specific height. The vault is successful if the bar remains stationary upon completion of the vault.

Long jump and triple jump
The long jump involves sprinting to a set take-off point and jumping as far as possible over a sand pit. The triple jump also has a fast approach run, but consists of three consecutive jumps in the form of a hop, a step and a jump.
