Gauteng's Emergency Medical Services welcomed 1 120 emergency care interns to the esteemed Green Angels programme on Tuesday.

"Emergency services are crucial in our province. We live in a world of disasters," said Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi. 

The premier was speaking at the launch of the Green Angels Emergency Care Internship Programme, a 12-month initiative that seeks to equip aspiring healthcare professionals with essential training to help them become employable in emergency care and to expand the pool of qualified personnel in the emergency services sector.
