Less than a week before the general elections, the steady rise of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) in the Western Cape has exposed how brittle the DA's support among coloured voters has become.

Over the last week, PA leader Gayton McKenzie travelled across the Western Cape - the heartland of the DA - addressing massive crowds to woo them away from the DA. 

The PA's biggest success is their influence in coloured communities, seen as the backbone of the DA's support in the Western Cape.
