The disciplinary hearings of 1 456 Unisa students, who were allegedly involved in plagiarism earlier this year, started on 25 March.
Unisa's acting vice principal for institutional development, Professor Solomon Magano, said it planned on completing about 75 cases a week until the targeted completion date for all cases, which was the end of May.
He added the cases concerned pure academic dishonesty which included plagiarism and not adhering to Turnitin, an originality-checking software service used to prevent plagiarism.
