Meyiwa murder trial: Accused claims his co-accused threatened to kill him if he spoke out

Bongani Ntanzi was allegedly warned by his co-accused that if he spoke about the murder of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, he would be killed.

This was revealed in his second confession statement, deposed before magistrate Vivian Cronje on 24 June 2020, shortly after he was arrested.

Ntanzi and his four co-accused are currently on trial in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria for murdering Meyiwa. The soccer star was shot and killed while visiting his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, at her mother's house in Vosloorus on 26 October 2014.
