KwaZulu-Natal police have confirmed that they are in the process of extraditing a South African man who was arrested in Maputo, Mozambique, last Friday in connection with the disappearance of Sodwana Bay skipper, John Matambu.
Police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said they could not reveal his identity until he appeared in a local court, but News24 understands that his name is Thomas Frederik Visser, also known as Ferdie Visser.
The 45-year-old hails from Mpumalanga.
