Nursing unions have called on the Eastern Cape Department of Health to ensure proper safety measures for staff after another robbery, at a rural clinic in Ngqeleni, near Mthatha.
A security guard was shot and killed during a robbery at Maqanyeni Clinic in Ngqeleni on Friday night.
Dakhile Ngobe, 40, from Tyeks Security Services, died in a hail of bullets when four suspects pounced on him and his female colleague at the clinic. Ngobe's colleague was not injured.
