Twenty-four years of empty promises.

That was the reaction of some of the land claimants who are part of the West Bank Restitution Programme in East London when the Buffalo City Metro (BCM) made yet another promise to build houses for them.

West Bank claimants were forcefully removed from their homes in the coast-front suburb in the early 1960s by the apartheid regime and taken to areas like Mdantsane and Parkside.
