Despite several concerns about the General Intelligence Laws Amendment Bill (Gilab) remaining, the National Council of Provinces is expected to pass the bill without amending it.

This means the same version of the bill passed by the National Assembly last month will make its way to President Cyril Ramaphosa if the National Council of Provinces passes the bill on Thursday, as expected. 

On Monday, the National Council of Provinces' ad hoc committee processing the bill considered making two minor changes.
