We all seem to be ingesting too little omega-3 – a long-chain polyunsaturated (LCP) essential fatty acid that can be found in fatty fish, like tuna and salmon.
However, research shows that those with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and other learning difficulties are particularly deficient.

Renowned UK lecturer, author and researcher Dr Jaqueline Stordy will be doing a short lecture tour of South Africa in early February, focusing on the important role that LCPs play in the lives of those who experience ADHD and dyslexia.
Stordy is author of “The Remarkable Nutritional Treatment for ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia: THE LCP SOLUTION”.
This book describes her personal experience with a dyslexic son, her own research on LCPs at the University of Surrey and research studies conducted elsewhere. All these studies show that supplementing the diet with marine oil omega-3 (DHA) improves the symptoms of ADHD and dyslexia.
