Reflexology
What is it?The treatmentCase studiesDIY reflexology

Therapeutic reflexologist, Pat Bosman, has been in full time practice for the last eight years. Bosman says that she has seen some wonderful results in people who have had therapeutic reflexology, "especially with people who are suffering with stomach and intestinal problems and depression". Here she shares some of her own personal case studies with us.

Case study 1
A female, aged 46, who had suffered from Bi-Polar disorder (Manic-Depression) for 17 years, had a nervous breakdown, and was referred to a psychologist, who then referred her to a reflexologist. She came for weekly reflexology treatment for nine months. After that, my client came off her medication and is now fine. She believes that she could not have done it without the help of the reflexology.

Case Study 2
A man aged 60 suffered a stroke which left him with no peripheral sight on the left-hand side. He was forced to give up his one man business, this upset him tremendously. I treated him for six months, twice a week, in which time his peripheral sight improved and so did his high blood pressure. He is now back at work and is driving again.

Case Study 3
I treated a female, aged 56, that had suffered from diabetes and Graves disease for more than 15 years. After almost a year of weekly treatments, her blood sugar count normalised and so did her insulin units. She now only takes insulin at night and her overall health has improved. Her medical practitioner is very pleased at her progress.

Case Study 4
A 17-year-old female who was suffering from a spastic colon due to stress and pressure at school was referred to me for weekly treatments. She found that even after the first treatment she already felt better. After having had three months of reflexology, she is now fine. She has no more pain and has regular bowl movements.
