But instead of constantly having to buy fresh herbs or cheating with the bottled variety, the best and indeed most fashionable way to get your herb fix is to grow your very own herb garden.

The best thing about this type of garden is that you can grow it on a windowsill, on a patio or veranda or in your normal garden. Herbs are hardy plants and are not that fussy when it comes to soil, so you don't have to give them too much TLC.
