The head must always remain in line with the spine and must not move up and down during the different movements. This should relax the neck muscles.
Shoulders must never be hunched and arms should never be fully straightened. When retracting your arms, the elbows must always be kept close to the body and should not jut out. Remember to always keep your arms and shoulders relaxed so that you can move smoothly.
The whole body in fact must be relaxed and the chest especially must not be stiff so that the breathing can be deep and natural.
Your waist should be able to swivel freely in any direction. It must not be stiff, because then your bottom will stick out and will throw you off balance.
Most postures in the Hand Form require most of the weight to rest on one leg, so that it is easy to move the other leg when changing posture.
