The following warrants immediate action: an allergic reaction – get to the vet if your pet’s face starts swelling; when your pet vomits a few times over a period of 24 hours; when your pet isn’t eating; if it looks as if the pet has a fracture, e.g. when it is limping; if it looks like your pet has injured an eye; if you notice unusual lumps on the skin; if the pet is unable to close its mouth – this may be indicative of a broken jaw; and if it’s scratching incessantly.
