PUPP needs your help
Last updated: Monday, October 16, 2006
You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t like animals. After all, there’s nothing cuter than a fluffy little puppy or kitten barely the size of your hand.

But not all animals get a good life. Those that live on the streets breed, and leave very little hope for their offspring in the harsh city environment.

For this reason, sterilisation is of the utmost importance for the betterment of pets living in poor and underprivileged areas.

But it’s not all doom and gloom, because you can help! The Project for the Upliftment of Pets and People (PUPP) is raising money to help with sterilisation of dogs and cats in these areas, and to educate people and run awareness campaigns for the community.

For only R10, you can buy a raffle ticket and stand to win one of the following magnificent prizes:

  • A One-week timeshare package for 4 at Ngwenya Lodge, bordering the Kruger National Park worth R10 000!
  • A dinner to the value of R720 at Peddlars on the Bend, Constantia
  • A deluxe barbeque set
  • A gift hamper from Charlotte Rhys of bath and fragrance products
  • A three litre Magnum Welgeweend Etstate Douelle 2000

Get involved!
PUPP is holding a raffle at certain performances at the Artscape Theatre, before the show of ‘The King and I’, and during the interval of some of the Friday and Saturday evening shows throughout October.

Certain mid-week performances are also available to us, but PUPP needs volunteers. If you’ve got some free time and would like to get involved in this worthy cause, call Annette on 021 696 5293, or 072 106 1487.

Perhaps you would like to sell a booklet of 25 tickets, at just R10 per ticket, to friends and family? If so, contact PUPP on, puppfundraise@telkomsa.net.

Donations are absolutely vital to PUPP’s operations, and they really need your help.

Make your donations directly into PUPP’s bank account:
