Yellow fever is caused by a mosquito-borne virus, and is very common in tropical countries. It can be prevented by an intensive vaccination campaign. The vaccine is both safe and effective.
Meanwhile, another death from yellow fever and three further cases were reported in the Province of Dalaba, a province situated 50 km from Mamou.
