As of 23 August 2005, Angola reported a total of 374 cases of Marburg haemorrhagic fever. Of the reported cases, 323 deaths were reported in the Uige province.

In this province, several of those who were infected are being closely monitored for clinical specimens.

Since 21 July 2005, there have been no confirmed deaths of Marburg haemorrhagic fever in Angola.
