Airplane travel often leaves your skin and eyes feeling dry. This is because the humidity in an aircraft cabin is usually less than 20 percent, says the Aerospace Medical Association.
The dry air may cause you some discomfort, but there is little risk to your health.

Here's what you can do to minimise the dryness:
Drink reasonable amounts of water and juices.
Limit your consumption of alcohol, tea, coffee and caffeinated drinks. They cause you to lose fluids.
