Causes of prostate cancer
There is no single cause of prostate cancer. The cancer originates in the epithelial cells of the glandular elements of the prostate. As with most cancers defects in the DNA of the cell are central to the development of prostate cancer.

There is a wide variety of symptoms that point to the possibility of prostate cancer.

Prevalence of prostate cancer
One in ten men will develop clinically significant prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Risk factors for enlarged prostate
Any man, providing that he has a normal prostate and testicles to start off with, will develop BPH if he lives long enough.

The acute (sudden) inability to pass urine is painful and will necessitate a hospital or doctor�s visit.
