A suitable local anaesthetic is Ligocaine hydrochloride
2 percent 5 ml ampoule for IV use without preservative (such as Remicaine or
Petercain). Do not use a local anaesthetic used for local skin infiltration,
because it may lead to an adverse drug reaction.
