Who is at risk?
- Those with a family history (a brother/sister, father/mother with high blood pressure, heart problems or a stroke),
- Those with high blood cholesterol levels,
- Those with diabetes,
- Those with bad eating habits,
- Those with a high intake of alcohol (more than two drinks daily),
- Those who are overweight
- Those with an inactive lifestyle,
- Smokers
- The use of the Pill, steroids such a cortisone and anti-inflammatory drugs can all contribute to higher blood pressure.
