The following home remedies may bring relief if you suffer from sore throat:
Gargles
1 to 2 teaspoons (t) dried sage leaves steeped in 1 cup boiling water for 10 minutes (strain and cool until lukewarm)

1 t dried camomile steeped in 1 cup warm water
2 t apple cider vinegar in 1 cup warm water
Juice of one lemon in 1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon (T) pure horseradish, 1 t honey, 1 tsp ground cloves in 1 cup warm water
1 to 2 t raspberry leaf steeped in 1 cup boiling water for 10 minutes (strain and cool until lukewarm)
Half a lemon, 1 T salt, 1/4 t cayenne pepper in 1/2 cup warm water
2 tablets crushed aspirin in 1 cup warm water
Half hydrogen peroxide and half warm water
Make a camomile poultice
Steep 1 tablespoon dried camomile flowers in 1 or 2 cups boiling water for 5 minutes. Strain. Soak a towel in the tea, wring it out, and apply to throat. Remove the cloth when it cools. Repeat as necessary.
How to make a salt plaster
Mix 2 cups sea salt with 5 to 6 tablespoons lukewarm water. Roll damp salt up in a dishtowel, then wrap around your neck. Cover it with dry towel, and leave on as long as required.
