When you go for a diagnostic test or procedure let the person giving the test or procedure know that you would like a copy of the test results or procedure report.

When you are diagnosed your treating doctor will discuss treatment options with you. Together, you and your doctor will agree on what your treatment will include.

To ensure South Africans' right of access to health care services the Department of Health has developed a Patients' Right Charter.
