Sports bras vs. Cooper’s Droop
Created: Tuesday, February 28, 2006
Until now sports bras have been seen as essentials only for female gym fanatics and marathon runners. But a new study has found that all women should wear them to stop the sag.

Research conducted by the Department of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth has shown that all women who take part in any form of exercise, face the prospect of irreversible breast sag if they do not wear a proper sports bra.

But the research also found that regardless of cup size or activity every woman should wear a sports bra to exercise. So it’s not just for those women who wear a large bra cup size.

What this means is that all women who partake in even less strenuous sports, should wear a sports bra. In short, anything that makes your breasts move can stretch the fragile Cooper’s Ligament and leave a woman with a permanent breast sag.

The study also found that T-shirt bras will only reduce the bounce by 38%, while a good sports bra will reduce it by up to 78%.
