Asthma - Health tips
Centrum tip - Your asthmatic child at school
Created: Wednesday, April 26, 2006
Unfortunately, you can't keep an eye on your asthmatic child all the time. So, what can you do to ensure that your child is taken care of during school hours?

Take action:
Schedule a meeting with the teacher to explain that your child has asthma and what treatments he’s using; if your child needs to use an inhaler during the day, he must be allowed to do so; be sure to leave a spare bronchodilator with the teacher – if your child runs out of medication, help will be at hand; if your child is a severe asthmatic, provide the teacher and principal with the necessary emergency numbers and plan of action.
