My child has asthma. What exercise do you recommend?

Last updated: Monday, February 09, 2009 Print

Encourage your child to swim or, if you don’t have access to a pool, choose activities that require short bursts of energy. Sprinting is better than cross-country or long distance running, for instance. However, endurance exercise such as cycling or long-distance running, is not out of the question since asthmatics respond to training in the same way as anybody else.
